Let’s Shape Rochester’s Future!
Rochester has not had an active Comprehensive Plan since City Council adopted “Renaissance 2010” nearly twenty years ago. We need a new plan to serve as the blueprint for our city – a document that guides the strategies and priorities of City Hall. This is especially true now because we are in the midst of an urban renaissance, and it is clear that there is renewed energy and passion for the city of Rochester.
The City’s new Office of Planning is gathering information to build a new Comprehensive Plan called Rochester 2034, which will bring us all the way to our city’s 200th birthday. I am very excited about Rochester 2034, and wrote an op-ed for the Democrat and Chronicle a few days ago: “Help Shape Future of Rochester.”
This plan needs to be a direct reflection of community desires and aspirations. So we need your input.
Please follow this link to the Comprehensive Plan Survey, and let us know what is most important to you. The survey walks you through a number of illustrated questions, step by step. If you want to give it considerable thought and share individual comments, you can spend as much time on it as you want. But if you want to do the survey quickly and move on to the rest of your day, you can complete it in less than 10 minutes!
