Rally to Urge State Senate Passage of GENDA
Monday morning Rochester rallied in the City Hall Atrium to urge the passage of the Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act (GENDA). Senator Harry Bronson has co-sponsored this legislation in the NYS Assembly year after year. But each time it has been defeated in the State Senate. Now more than ever, it is important to pass this bill state-wide, so that the protections available for transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming individuals in Rochester are available state-wide. I joined with Harry, Mayor Lovely Warren, LGBTQ community activists and advocates to call for passage without further delay.
